Mercedes-Benz introduces the new EQE SUV to its fleet in Singapore, marking a significant stride toward the brand's goal of going all-electric in the country by 2030. The EQE SUV seamlessly combines the innovative features of the EQS and EQS SUV, presenting a luxurious and environmentally conscious driving experience. With a compact design, a wheelbase nine centimetres shorter than the EQE Saloon, and a range of maximum total outputs from 180 kW to 215 kW, with a range of up to 565 km on a single charge while the AMG Variants will have 350 kW to 460 kW. At launch the EQE 300 SUV Electric Art will be available while the EQE 350+ AMG Line will be available soon.
Interior
Inside the EQE SUV, the cutting-edge MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) system takes centre stage, offering a proactive and personalised user experience. The optional MBUX Hyperscreen creates an impressive visual display, seamlessly integrating three screens into one unit. The Hey Mercedes voice assistant, integrated with online services, enhances user interaction, and the system fully integrates major music streaming services. The EQE SUV prioritizes passenger comfort with features like ENERGIZING AIR CONTROL Plus, Dolby Atmos® sound system, and a specially composed fragrance for the active fragrance system. With a focus on design, aerodynamics, and a spacious interior, the EQE SUV represents the future of sustainable and high-performance electric vehicles from Mercedes-Benz.
Powertrain
The electric drive of the EQE SUV boasts a modular concept for high performance and extended range, featuring an electric drivetrain on the rear axle and, in 4MATIC models, an additional drivetrain on the front axle. The intelligent Disconnect Unit enhances efficiency by decoupling the front axle motor at low loads, reducing drag losses. The traction battery, a key element of Mercedes-Benz's electrification strategy, showcases higher energy density, setting new standards in performance, efficiency, and charging capacity. The EQE SUV also prioritises safety and driving assistance with the Driving Assistance Plus Package, including features like Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC and Evasive Steering Assist. Moreover, the AIRMATIC air suspension and rear-axle steering contribute to an exceptional driving dynamic, making the EQE SUV as manoeuvrable as a compact car in city settings.
